Kadek Dwita Was Present as a Speaker at the Debriefing of Village Participants Care for the Election of Badung Regency
South Kuta, Lecturer of Political Science at
Udayana University, Dr Kadek Dwita Apriani, S.Sos., M.I.P., was present as a
speaker in the debriefing activity for the participants of the Village Concern
for the Election and Election in 2022 which was held by the General Election
Commission of Badung Regency, which was located at the Benoa Village Head

To seek to increase voter participation in the
2024 general election, the General Election Commission of Badung Regency
conducts training for the participants of the Election Care Village. On this
occasion, Dr Kadek Dwita was invited to give a presentation with the title
“Knowing Young Voters and Their Behavior in Elections: An Effort to Increase
Public Participation”.
The choice of this topic is based on the fact of
Generation Z has the potential to influence the implementation of elections and
also who will later become the first voter in the 2024 general election. On
this event, Kadek Dwita explained the typology of political participation along
with examples of its activities, and the logic of the relationship between the
popularity and electability of figures. , the differences and risks between
swing voters and core voters, and the introduction of GenZ as a novice voter,
its characteristics, and approaches.
The activity continued with a question and answer
session guided by I Gusti Ketut Gede Yusa Arsana Putra, S.H., as a member of
the General Election Commission of Badung Regency. Several topics are the focus
of questions from the discussion, namely the tail effect that appears in the
election, the urgency of GenZ in the 2024 election, and related to political
campaigns on social media.
The
debriefing for Election Care Village which was attended by several members of
the General Election Commission of Badung Regency, and representatives from
Benoa Villages and Seka Truna Truni in Benoa, ended with the handing over of
certificates to the speaker. It is hoped that this activity, it can assist
relevant institutions in conducting political socialization, especially related
with elections, and helping to increase the participation of Gen Z in the 2024
