19TH INDONESIA-MALAYSIA CULTURAL SYMPOSIUM: POLITICAL SCIENCE ACADEMICS PRESENT DIVERSE RESEARCH

Denpasar, Tuesday, October 14, 2025. The 19th Indonesia-Malaysia Cultural Symposium (SKIM XIX 2025) was successfully held on October 8–9, 2025, at Universitas Padjadjaran. The symposium provided an academic forum for scholars and researchers from Indonesia and Malaysia to exchange ideas and present research on a range of social, cultural, political, and public policy issues.

During the symposium, three academics from the Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Udayana, participated as presenters and delivered research presentations covering different areas of study.

Dr. Tedi Erviantono presented research on budgetary challenges facing regional museums and the lack of competitiveness in local politics. His study highlighted the relationship between budget management, cultural institutions, and political dynamics at the local level.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kadek Dwita Apriani presented research exploring the social factors underlying the development of environmental movements in developing countries. The study examined the social aspects that contribute to the emergence and development of environmental movements within developing-country contexts.

In addition, Gede Indra Pramana, S.IP., M.A. presented an analysis of national policies and changes taking place in Bali’s coastal areas. His presentation provided a perspective on policy dynamics and socio-political changes related to coastal regions.

The participation of these three academics demonstrates the active contribution of the Political Science Study Program, FISIP, Universitas Udayana, to academic forums that bring together diverse perspectives and interdisciplinary research. Their presentations also contributed to broader knowledge exchange and the strengthening of academic networks between Indonesia and Malaysia.

Through participation in SKIM XIX 2025, the Political Science Study Program, FISIP, Universitas Udayana, continues to encourage research development, academic publication, and the active involvement of its academics in various scholarly forums.
