Commemorating National Labour Day: Recognizing the Dedication and Contributions of Indonesian Workers University General
Denpasar, Friday, May 1, 2026 — In commemoration of National Labour Day, the Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, extends its appreciation to all workers in Indonesia who continue to contribute through their dedication, hard work, and service across various sectors of society.
National Labour Day serves as an important moment to recognize the role and contributions of workers as an essential part of national development. Every task carried out with responsibility contributes to the continuity of social and economic life and forms part of the broader process of national progress.
The commemoration also provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of workers' rights, decent working conditions, social protection, and fair industrial relations. In a democratic society, workers play an important role in expressing their aspirations and participating in social processes and public policies that directly affect their lives.
For Political Science students, Labour Day provides an opportunity to critically reflect on various labour issues, including the relationship between government policies, workers' interests, businesses, and society. Such understanding is essential in supporting the development of public policies that provide protection while improving workers' welfare.
Every drop of sweat represents dedication, while every contribution becomes part of the foundation for national progress. Therefore, appreciating workers should not be limited to commemorating this day, but should also be reflected through collective efforts to create working environments that are fair, safe, dignified, and prosperous.
Happy National Labour Day to all workers in Indonesia. Keep creating, empowering, and inspiring for a more just and prosperous Indonesia.
