Commemorating the Islamic New Year 1448 AH as a Moment of Reflection and Renewal University General
Denpasar, Tuesday, June 16, 2026 — The entire academic community of the Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, extends its warmest greetings on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, 1 Muharram 1448 AH, to all Muslims celebrating this meaningful occasion.
The arrival of the Islamic New Year is not merely a change in the calendar, but also an important opportunity to reflect on the journey we have taken and to prepare for a better future. It provides a moment to evaluate ourselves, learn from past experiences, improve our shortcomings, and renew our determination to continue growing in our personal, academic, and social lives.
The spirit of the Islamic New Year also reminds us of the importance of embracing positive change. Each individual has the opportunity to leave behind unproductive habits, strengthen positive values, and transform past experiences into valuable lessons for facing future challenges.
For the academic community, 1 Muharram 1448 AH can be embraced as an opportunity to continuously improve ourselves through lifelong learning. Knowledge is not only essential for academic achievement, but should also be reflected in our attitudes, integrity, compassion, and meaningful contributions to society.
As Political Science students, this spirit can be expressed through critical thinking, openness to diverse perspectives, and a strong awareness of social and political issues. The knowledge and experiences gained throughout our academic journey are expected to become valuable foundations for contributing to a more democratic, just, and civilized society.
As we enter the new Islamic year, let us welcome 1 Muharram 1448 AH with renewed hope, stronger determination, and enthusiasm to continue learning, creating, and contributing to society. Every positive change, no matter how small, can become part of a meaningful journey toward becoming better individuals and building a better future.
May this new year mark the beginning of a journey filled with blessings, progress, and goodness. May every step we take be guided by beneficial knowledge, strong integrity, and the courage to become better individuals each day.
Happy Islamic New Year 1 Muharram 1448 AH!
May the new year bring peace, blessings, and renewed enthusiasm to the entire academic community of the Political Science Study Program.
