Learning Democracy Up Close: MBKM Political Science Interns Join the Bali Provincial KPU

`

Denpasar — The Department of Political Science, FISIP Universitas Udayana, together with the Bali Provincial General Elections Commission (KPU Provinsi Bali), has officially welcomed MBKM students for an internship within the election management environment. This program bridges classroom learning with real-world electoral practice, enabling students to observe and participate in the day-to-day work of a democratic institution.

Throughout the internship, students will contribute to a range of activities: assisting with electoral information management, public communication and voter information services, voter education programs, institutional documentation, and other technical support tasks. With guidance from KPU mentors and faculty supervisors, participants are expected to strengthen accuracy, analytical skills, concise policy writing, and cross-team collaboration.

For the Political Science program, this internship serves as a living laboratory of public policy: students learn to interpret regulations, understand institutional roles, and translate democratic principles into measurable, on-the-ground work. All activities will be documented through logbooks, weekly outputs, and periodic evaluations to ensure clear benefits for both participants and the institution.

Congratulations to all MBKM Political Science interns! May your experience at the Bali Provincial KPU become a valuable foundation for future careers in the public sector and civil society—marked by integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to service.(4/9/2025)
