Denpasar, Wednesday, April 8, 2026
The entire academic community of the Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Udayana, extends its warmest greetings on the occasion of Pagerwesi Day to all Hindus celebrating this sacred day.
Pagerwesi Day is one of the sacred observances in Hinduism that carries an important meaning as a moment to strengthen and reaffirm oneself through knowledge and wisdom. Philosophically, Pagerwesi represents inner strength and steadfastness in facing the various challenges of life.
Within the academic environment, the commemoration of Pagerwesi serves as a reminder of the importance of knowledge as a source of strength that can guide and protect human life. Knowledge is not merely a means of understanding various issues, but should also be accompanied by wisdom and responsibility in its application.
The spirit of Pagerwesi encourages us to continuously strengthen ourselves through learning, broaden our perspectives, and develop the ability to think wisely. Perseverance in pursuing knowledge plays an important role in shaping individuals with knowledge, strong character, and integrity.
Pagerwesi also provides an opportunity for self-reflection, strengthening one’s convictions, and reaffirming inner determination in facing life. With knowledge and wisdom, we are encouraged to face challenges with calmness, sound judgment, and a strong sense of responsibility.
May the observance of Pagerwesi Day bring peace, strength, and steadfastness to us all. May we always be granted the ability to continue learning, developing knowledge, and using it for the benefit, progress, and harmony of our shared lives.
Rahajeng Rahina Pagerwesi.
May knowledge, wisdom, and steadfastness always serve as sources of protection and guidance in every step of our lives.
