Public Lecture Successfully Held!
Denpasar, June 22, 2026 — The Political Science Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Udayana University, held a public lecture titled "Understanding Jokowi: Progressive Realism in Indonesian Politics, 2014–2024."
The discussion invited participants to understand Indonesia's political journey during Joko Widodo's decade-long administration through the lens of "Progressive Realism," as explored in the book *Progressive Realism in Indonesian Politics, 2014–2024*.
Key discussion points included:
• Understanding the concept of Progressive Realism within Indonesian politics.
• Examining the dynamics and trajectory of Indonesian politics during the 2014–2024 period.
• Interpreting Jokowi’s leadership through the interplay of political idealism and pragmatic considerations.
• Analyzing how interests, power, and political strategies shaped government policies.
• Assessing the changes and challenges facing Indonesian democracy during Jokowi’s ten-year tenure.
