Denpasar, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 — In commemoration of Kartini Day, the Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, invites the entire academic community to reflect on the spirit and legacy of Raden Ajeng Kartini in advocating for access to education, equality, and the advancement of Indonesian women.

Kartini Day, commemorated annually on April 21, serves as a moment to remember Kartini's ideas and efforts to create greater opportunities for women to access education and develop their potential. Her ideas demonstrate that education plays an important role in raising awareness, broadening perspectives, and encouraging social change within society.

This spirit remains highly relevant to today's younger generation. Education is not only a means of acquiring knowledge but also a foundation for developing critical thinking, strengthening individual capacities, and encouraging young people to participate actively in social and political life.

As part of the academic community, Political Science students have an important role in carrying forward this spirit through academic activities and various forms of community engagement. The ability to think critically, express ideas constructively, appreciate diversity, and engage with public issues is part of the effort to build a better democratic society.

The commemoration of Kartini Day also reminds us that progress does not always begin with major steps. Every learning experience, idea shared, work produced, and contribution made to the surrounding community represents a step toward a better future.

Let us continue to embody Kartini's spirit by learning, creating, thinking critically, and contributing to society and the nation.

Happy Kartini Day!
“Small steps today, for a greater future.”
